Through the first three (3) years of Levy funding, the Mountain Line Transit Authority has:

  • Purchased and put in operation 11 new buses costing $1,144,000

  • Ordered an additional 6 buses valued at $2,550,000

For a total bus purchase of $3,694,000, $1.5 million in Levy Funds matched by $2,194,000 in federal funds

We have added new and expanded service equaling 18,962 new service hours, a 33% increase over the 56,744 hours of service being operated on June 30, 2016.  FY 2018 Service hours total 75,706 hours.

We have added 566,658 miles of service, an increase of 57% over pre-levy service numbers.  We are now covering 1,549,515 miles per year.

We have continued $1,269,500 dollars of service previously funded through Coal Severance Funds.

We have increased service frequencies on selected runs, extended evening and weekend service hours and expanded to new areas including the western end of the county (Wadestown) and we now service new areas such as Suncrest Towne Centre, Fort Pierpont and West Ridge/Mylan Park.
